About: Browser-Based Wireless Screen Mirroring

Welcome to the secure, local-first utility designed to cast and mirror your screen to any device instantly - no internet, no AirPlay, and no apps required. Whether you need to give a presentation from your phone to a hotel room TV, cast educational materials in a classroom, or share media with family members, this free browser-based tool handles it all.

Why use this browser tool instead of Chromecast, AirPlay, or Casting Apps?

Setup Guide (Step-by-Step)

Deploy your personal screen casting connection in seconds:

  1. Network Setup: Ensure both devices are on the same Wi-Fi network. No Wi-Fi? Turn on "Mobile Hotspot" on one device and connect the other device to it.
  2. Position the Presenter: On the device whose screen you want to share, open this webpage. Tap "I am the Presenter", choose if you want to include audio, then tap "Select Screen to Cast". A QR code will appear.
  3. Setup the Viewer: On your receiving laptop, tablet, or smart TV browser, open this page and tap "I am the Viewer". Tap "Scan Presenter Screen" and scan the QR code.
  4. Lock the Feed: The Viewer will instantly generate a second QR code. Use the Presenter device to scan this return code (Step B).
  5. Mirroring Active: The devices are now locked in a secure peer-to-peer tunnel. The screen will display on the viewer in real-time with zero latency over your local network.

Top Use Cases for Browser Screen Casting

The Hotel Room Presentation: Traveling for business often means dealing with restricted, paid, or blocked hotel Wi-Fi that prevents traditional casting dongles from working. By turning on your phone's hotspot and connecting your laptop to it, you can cast your presentation smoothly without any internet connection.

Classroom & Tutoring Whiteboards: Teachers and tutors can use a tablet as a digital whiteboard and wirelessly cast the browser screen to a larger laptop or smartboard connected to a projector, without needing administrative privileges to install casting software.

Local Media & Photo Sharing: Want to show family members a video or photo album on your phone without passing the phone around? Cast it directly to the family PC or smart TV browser in the living room over your home router.

Mobile Gameplay Viewing: Broadcasting mobile gameplay to a PC monitor allows friends in the same room to watch the action on a larger screen in real-time, zero-latency.

Bypassing Corporate IT Restrictions: If you need to share a screen in a corporate environment where installing third-party screen sharing apps (like TeamViewer or AnyDesk) is blocked by IT, this browser-based solution works natively without triggering security alarms.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

Do I need a smart TV, Chromecast, or AirPlay?

No. You can cast your screen to any device that has a web browser, including an old laptop, a standard tablet, or a basic PC. No proprietary hardware is needed.

Does this require an internet connection?

No internet is required once the page is loaded. As long as both devices are on the same local Wi-Fi network, or one is connected to the other's Mobile Hotspot, the stream routes locally.

Can I cast audio along with my screen?

Yes, audio casting is supported. Check the 'Include System Audio' box before casting. Note that audio capture support depends on your specific browser and operating system (e.g., Chrome usually handles system/tab audio well, while older iOS Safari may have limitations).

Is my screen data uploaded to the cloud?

Absolutely not. This tool utilizes HTML5 WebRTC to create a direct peer-to-peer tunnel between your two devices. Your screen data never touches our servers.
